WEIS INDUSTRIES Workshop for new service agenda

In order to gain a shared understanding about the services within the WEIS INDUSTRIES company group, ten of its employees came together for a workshop last November.
The objective was to determine the current state of the service portfolio at WEIS INDUSTRIES. Of course, this meeting was also intended to generate new ideas for the development and expansion of the service business. But the participants also used the occasion to exchange news and views on best practice examples and existing, successfully implemented service activities within
their companies.
Now, the assessment of the maturity of services offered by the WEIS Group serves as a foundation for the strategic expansion of the service business. One core mission will be to provide continuous professional training for our employees within the individual companies. These professional development activities will focus not only on broadening professional expertise, but also on providing training to employees regarding skills such as social competence, which are a necessary component of any successful service business. A modular training concept will establish a uniform standard throughout the company group.
In addition, it was suggested that a WEIS INDUSTRIES service code of practice should be compiled. This comprehensive guide will not only include the corporate values, but also provide guidelines for the professional handling of service contracts and customer interaction. With a wealth of great ideas and elaborate plans under our belt, the logical conclusion of this successful workshop can only be: »Let’s get on it!« With these inspiring impulses, we will be able to increase the already great quality of service within the WEIS INDUSTRIES Group.
