With effect from September 1, 2011, WEIS INDUSTRIES® GmbH & Co KG (Stuttgart) acquired 100 percent of the shares of KÖBO® ECO>PROCESS GmbH (Wuppertal). Among other things, KÖBO® ECO>PROCESS GmbH is a specialist for cooling lubricant filtering plants, as well as conveying and conditioning systems for chips and metalcutting scraps. In the future, the WEIS INDUSTRIES Group plans to focus more strongly on their core business areas – filtration, automation, industrial plants and services.

The expertise provided by KÖBO is a perfect addition to the company group’s filtration program. With the products offered by BETH® Filtration GmbH (Lübeck), LTG AEROB® Filtration Solutions GmbH (Renningen) and KÖBO® ECO>PROCESS GmbH (Wuppertal), customers will benefit from numerous synergy effects in the filtration division of the WEIS INDUSTRIES Group.

Mr. Rainer Schemann will continue as managing director, leading KÖBO® ECO>PROCESS GmbH into a bright future within the WEIS INDUSTRIES Group.
