The past two years, as well as recent international developments in the finance markets, have shown us two things: the future is full of economical challenges, and it will be increasingly harder to make reliable long-term prognoses, even for experienced economists. Corporate growth through increased turnover is an old and dangerous way of management thinking. In the future, companies will only be able to thrive if they make use of the right tools to control and guide their organizations. We at WEIS INDUSTRIES have adapted to these changed conditions.

Our new organizational structure, which will determine our market presence from October 2011, makes us more flexible and our decisionmaking processes faster. Our customers will also benefit from the numerous synergy effects. In the current edition of WEISZEIT, we want to introduce you to this new organizational structure. The goal of the new structure is not to downsize our corporation, but to become better and more efficient than ever when it comes to dealing with our markets and our customers’ requests. Within the organization, we can now pool our resources, learn from each other and find the perfect solutions for our customers’ problems.
