Pacific West BIOMASS Conference & Trade Show
20.04.2011
The utilization of biomass in the federal states of California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Nevada was the central topic of the »Pacific West BIOMASS Conference & Trade Show«, held at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel in Seattle, USA.
The continental North-American Pacific West – stretching from Southern California in the US to British Columbia in Canada – has huge amounts of biomass resources. The region is home to dozens of biomass power plants, advanced biofuel startups, R&D hubs and vital industry associations. Thus, it came as no surprise that 90 expert speakers and 52 corporate exhibitors took this opportunity to present their products, services and ideas to trade visitors from January 10 to 12, 2011.
The WEIS ENVIRONMENTAL trade show team, led by Petru Sangeorzan, was able to draw attention with products made by BETH® Filtration GmbH and to forge valuable new business connections. Important decision-makers, investors, producers of biomass-derived electricity, suppliers, industrial heat and power providers and waste combustion specialists – the trade show represented a unique opportunity to meet, greet and connect. And that’s what the WEIS ENVIRONMENTAL team did with great success, because at the end of the trade show, they had more to show for themselves than just valuable industry contacts.
The Thayer Corporation, a service provider for heating, ventilation and air conditioning, had ordered a BETH mini electrostatic precipitator. This makes Thayer one more ESP customer for WEIS ENVIRONMENTAL in the USA. Due to the excellent perspectives in the American market, it’s safe to assume that many more customers will follow Thayer’s example.
